The History and Future of Black Breastfeeding in Philly

[a digital scrapbook by Claire Lorenzetti]
This project explores the history of Black women breastfeeding in Philadelphia, tracing its evolution from the pre-emancipation era to the present. It examines systemic barriers that have hindered breastfeeding and the lasting harm these challenges have inflicted on communities, while also highlighting ongoing efforts to improve Black maternal health and promote equitable breastfeeding practices.
